From idea to funded EdTech MVP in seven weeks
An Angular + Rails API learning platform with school-friendly SSO—built fast enough to close a round.
The challenge
Northwind had a sharp idea for a classroom learning tool and a hard deadline: a credible product in front of investors and pilot schools within two months, with no engineering team in place.
What we built
We scoped ruthlessly to the core experience, then built an Angular front end on a Rails API-only back end, with Google and SAML single sign-on so schools could roll it out painlessly, plus role-based access for teachers, students, and admins. We shipped to staging in week three and iterated weekly.
The outcome
Northwind demoed a working product in week seven and closed their seed round. The MVP wasn't throwaway—it became the foundation the production platform was built on.
